Out and about

Today after dropping off dad at the chiropractor Allie and I headed down to the farmers market.
Allie's favorite stop at the market is the bee's.
She love's those things!
Then it was off to check out all the water flowing thru the fall's.
Lots of water from on going rain's lately.
What fun is an adventure without finding something to eat?
Allie waiting for our egg sandwich to arrive.

Golf clubs are for more then golf

Well I was VERY hesitant to put this on the blog, but if we are being real with this I can't help bringing it up.
I have been dealing with a bit of a problem with the same darn rabbit getting in the garden. Even with a six foot fence around the backyard.  So today that all ended after chasing it around thinking we would just rush it out.  Mike who had a golf club in hand swung away and hit it.
This picture spares you the details and thank goodness Allie was napping.
Mike and his girls.
I'm sure Allie is telling some sort of story about why she shouldn't go to bed yet.
I like to call this Allie's crazy eye's.
It may appear like we feed her loads of sugar, but that is not the case.

At the age of three

This could be one of my favorite pictures ever!
A place where both of them love.
The garden!
We are back at great grandparents again today.
Allie thought she would take on the task of testing the corn.
Little does she know we don't even eat this kind of corn.
We all know you can't come here and not have a cup of tea.
Then it was time to go dress shopping for Allie's first gig as a flower girl.
The best had to be when Allie flung off the flip flops she had on and asked my mom and I now where are the shoes to go with the dress?
Really!
At the age of three?
Grandma Greeley helped us decide which one was the best choice.
And also to help tie the bow's.

Thoughts and Tops

U ever have those tasks you do that remind you of someone or something.
Well every time I roll up a sleeping bag I think of my Dad.
Cause for some reason as a kid it was always so important to have them rolled up tight.
Of course now I do the same.
Along with other thing, just happen to think of the sleeping bag today.
I had to shoot quick, cause she never seems to sit still very long these day's.
Carrot's are one of those veggie's your not sure what you got until u dig in.
For the longest time they were all tops.

Grandma came to help us out once again

So for some reason Allie still dig's the baby cereal you mix up with water, so this morning she enjoyed a couple bowels of it before Grandma arrived.
I need all the comic relief I can get today cause I am once again heading to the dentist.
Ugh!!
But on the bright side it will be my last for awhile.
Helping Grandma put a bag in her car.
Saying goodbye and thanking her for coming and helping us out once again.

BLT's here we come!!

I think I say it every year, but what is the deal with the tomatoes?
Why are they not turning?
And most of the time it's just me being impatient.
Mike's watermelon looks like the little guy is going to make it.
He is pretty proud of it.

The up's and downs of gardening

A lot of times when I talk about the garden it seems to be good things going on.
Well I will be the first to tell you there are many problems that occur when taking on this venture.
For starters the wind is always something we all deal with in this area and last night it got the better of the pea's.  This year our pea's were almost 8' tall and today they stand about 3 feet.
So I'm pretty sure we will be removing them soon.

Feeling pretty real

Today this arrived in the mail.
Its really starting to sink in that she is going to go to school.
I am happy, but sad at the same time.
Pretty sure when the day come's I will be the one that struggles and she will be wondering what my problem is.
In Allie's words " I'm ready to go play with kids mom"

Tired eyes

The tired you see in the eyes have to do with the storms that came thru last night.
Allie still struggles with sleeping when those roll in.
We ended up getting over 3 inches of rain.
Allie trying to get dad talked into going to push her on the swing.
She pulls the if I lead he will follow.
Looks like it worked.
She knows how to play her dad.
The look of disgust is cause she just sneezed all over.
But did manage to get her hand up in time.

Just wondering?

I often find myself wondering if the things I do are weird and your answer to this is probably yes.
I'm okay with this cause if we were all the same this place would be pretty lame.
If you don't cut the lotion container open to get every last drop maybe I inspired you to start. :)  or not... and that's okay.

Garden update.
We have been eating pea's, beans, carrots and cucumbers like there going out of style around here.
Such a rewarding time of year.

Family time

Another day of training at great grandma and grandpa's house.
I went out and got my own pressure cooker and thought it was pretty neat to be able to have grandma help me out on the first run with it.
2010 and 1946 are the years of the canners.
And Great grandpa will tell you there's only cost 10 dollars.
And like I told him you got a deal. :)
Great grandpa and Allie enjoying some little house on the prairie.
Then we went down to grandma and grandpa's house to see some more family coming thru town.
But first we had to take a dip in the pool.
Well Allie and grandma did.
I did my normal dip my feet and legs in.
The Lueck's were passing thru today.
Chit Chatting and getting to do whatever she wants at grandma's and grandpa's house.
