"master pieces"

Allie showing off her "master pieces" as she would say.
Its suppose to be an apple.
Brave teachers to let 2 and 3 year old's use real paint.
I will note that she did have some paint on her arm when I picked her up.
 Nice look Allie.
I think she just got done poking dad in the face.
That explains his expression and why she looks so guilty.

Ike the cat

Now that the cooler weather is here Ike our cat has turned into a magnet on anyone and everyone.
Seems like every year about this time this tends to happen.
She is just using us for our warmth, but it can go both ways.

Hangin with Dad

Dad showing off his no hands skills.
I'm pretty sure Allie is telling him to put his hands back on the chains.
That's better Dad!
She is still a big swing fan.
How can't you be if Dad does all the work.

I just couldn't let it go cause there is too much truth in this video clip not to share.

Don't get me wrong we love our Grandma's and Grandpa's.

It's her own version of the book according to the pictures.

Baby shower!

Today Allie and I were invited to our cousins baby shower.
Allie working on her worksheet.
The mom to be.
Jenn
We had some silly sunglasses on our table and Allie thought that everyone needed to try them on.
It really is amazing what a three year old can get grown adults to do.
Grandma to be and family friend on the left.
Hannah and Jenn looking at all the gifts that were scored.
Great job with putting on the shower Hannah and family.
The food was so good I didn't even get a chance to take a picture.
Umbrella fun!
Until mom takes it away.
U know no one in this group besides me say's no to this kid.
Please note that it didn't last long.

Who knew?

Now who knew that ketchup can be used as chap stick too?
Being applied.
How does it look??
Not my first choice, but at the age of three somethings you have to learn on your own.

A trick dad showed me

So anyone that talks to us regularly knows we have been struggling with sleeping lately.
I should say Allie is struggling sleeping through storms which in return means everyone is getting less sleep then normal.
NOT COOL!!
Last night after returning from work I found Allie on the floor in her room in a sleeping bag with her head between two pillows.
I could see she wasn't sleeping, so I went in to see what was going on.
When I asked her what she was doing she told me Dad taught me this trick to help not hear the thunder.
I wish I could say it took care of the problem.
Please note these pictures were taken right away when going to bed.
This is not what she looks like when she is screaming at the top of her lungs in the middle of the night.

A storm rolled in

This afternoon we had a thunderstorm that rolled in and brought hail along with it.
Allie's words were "look mom snow"
U know I was out saving my mini mato plant well all this was going on.
Just south of us they got tennis ball size hail.
Thankful we missed that!
Tatar tot hot dish for supper tonight.
Allie doing her part to help.
Such a good helper!
The Ike and Allie show.
