Tinkering around

Were still busy playing with all of Allie's toys she got for Christmas.
Today we busted into the fiddle sticks or better know to me as tinker toys.
Me and Mike openly tell Allie adults have kids simply so they can play with toys again.
I'm pretty sure she is buying it cause we have been having a blast playing with her toys.
 Allie next to our creation.
She called it a castle we rolled with it.
After Mike had his fill of tinker toys he ventured out to test out his new goggles and mask he got for Christmas.

Gotta show dad!

Our dad had the day off for the holiday, you know what Allie wanted to do.
Yep!
Show dad the new place mom and her discovered a couple days ago.
Lots of stuff to look at.
Seeing this collection of dolls made me think of the dolls my grandma gifted me every birthday for so  many years.  That's the great thing about gifts you don't have to continue to get them to remember how much you appreciated them.
This visit we told Allie about the check out system.
She was thrilled and picked out two movies.

The Pooping Reindeer

So for any of you that don't know what a pooping reindeer looks like here is your first look.
Not to take any credit away from any of the gifts that we received, but this seems to be the fan favorite.
Step 1 load the poop up.
Step 2 push the tail down.
Step 3 laugh like its the funniest thing ever.
Pretty sure she is having a in depth conversation with the
"pooping reindeer"
its the only name that seems to stick.

My very own Library Card

Today Allie and I made our way down to the local library and got her signed up for her very own card.
Well there we found out about a story time we also signed up for.
This kid is starting to get quite a schedule with school, story time and now swimming lessons.
Let the taxi service begin as my mom would say.
She was so floored by everything at the library I didn't even get to the part about checking things out and bringing them home.
I thought we could save that for another visit.

Toy overload!

I think the hustle and bustle of the holiday's has hit.
Today seems as if we all feel like vegging.
Allie sporting her new spongebob watch along with the tic tac toe game well watching a new movie.
This may be called something like "gift over load"
Back away from this child for she may explode at anytime.
So many toys, so little time!

Christmas Day more celebrating

So first thing Christmas morning Allie busts into our room and says
"HE DIDN'T COME!"
What are you talking about Allie?
"The Christmas Guy didn't come!"
Well as you can see by the photo above she was wrong.
This doll was something she asked for very specific on which one she wanted.
"the one with the banana spoon"
The look on her face says it all!
After looking through what Santa brought us we jump in the car to go celebrate Christmas with more family.
We got a chance to catch up with Josey on the way to Grandma and Grandpa's.
The traditional dice game is always something I look forward to playing.
Everyone enjoying hanging out with one another.
Big thanks to these two for a great meal and the opportunity to all get together.

Christmas Eve @ our house

Today we had my side of the family over to celebrate Jesus birthday.
Beings we were not in the car traveling I let Allie pick out her own outfit.
That will explain why she looks like she is dressed for summer.
Allie is busy showing off her painting skills to Grandma and Ike has found her best friend my dad.
The simplest way I could explain to Allie what this was all about was to tell her
"its Jesus birthday and we celebrate by giving gifts"
I think she kinda got it hopefully every year she will get it a little more.
The last couple years we were busy helping Allie open stuff, but not this year she was busy helping everyone else get into theirs gifts.
Hanging out enjoying one another.
We all have at least one in the bunch.
Most get to say good bye to them at the end of the day.
Not the case for me.
I get to live with the funny guy.
:)
Erin made mom and me a cake for our birthday.
Setting out cookies and water for Santa or better known to Allie as the" Christmas Guy"
Before going to bed Allie's words to me
"Mom.. I don't want that guy that say's ho ho ho to come into my room".
My response to this
"oh Allie you don't have to worry he won't come in your room".
