Turning the big 4

Look what Miss Allie Mae woke up to the morning of June 1.
Once she got the okay she was off and opening.
Pleased as punch it was June 1st.
Cause this girl not only tells you how hold she is, but also has to add when her birthday is every time.
Were not big sugary breakfast eaters here, so it's fun to do on our birthday.
Next thing to do is make a cake.
So that's what we did!
Every year I attempt to be a cake artist and please note no one is knocking my door down for requests, so I think I will stick to in house work only. :)
For something special we went over to Grandma and Grandpa's for supper that evening of Allie's birthday.
Never in a million years did I think when I bought this zhu zhu pet the people who would enjoy it so much.
Great Grandma and Great Grandpa got a good chuckle out of it.
Grandma and Grandpa put on a sweet spread for us with special pink sprinkle cupcakes.
Beings Mike's birthday is a week later they each got a candle in their cake.
Mike's just wasn't a pink candle...
And of course we don't go home empty handed.
Then Saturday arrives and we do more celebrating.
It's party day!
Present opening time~
More importantly thank you hugs.
Allie was excited everyone could make it, but was especially happy her friends the "Onken boy's" could come.

This year instead of standing and pouring drinks I made these ahead of time and simply had Allie ask everyone if they wanted pink or yellow lemonade.
Party aftermath.
Maybe this was Ike's?
