Birthday party and Last canning run

We were invited to a cousins birthday party!
Alivia turns 1!!
Allie is assisting in the opening of the gifts.
Time to check out the goods.
What's a party without cake.
Right!?
Even if you only lick the frosting off the top.
Last batch of the season.
Thought I better capture this beings it took up most of my time this past summer.
Of course with Allie's help.
This is where Allie came into play.
Moving them over from sink to sink.
End result.
Now to jar them up and pray they seal.

Splish, Splash and no were not taking a bath

At this swimming lesson it was life jacket time.
Which means their going to the deep end and jumping off the edge.
Looks like someone is excited about it.
I kept missing the jumps, but she did great and had a good time.
The whole class has to swim back to the shallow area together.
Team work!!
Anyone that knows what we delt with when Allie started swimming lessons can appreciate this picture.
She struggled with getting her face wet.
She has proven to us and herself she can overcome fear.
Very proud moment as a parent!

To the pumpkin patch we go!

This week I had an chance to help out in Allie's class by being a driver for her first field trip.
To the pumpkin patch we went!
Well on this trip I discovered Allie has a best friend and her name is Karlie.
These two did everything together as you will see in the pictures.
The entire class out at the pumpkin patch with their pumpkins.
Miss Shelly putting everyone's names on the pumpkins so there is no mix ups.
The ride back after picking out the perfect pumpkin.
Oh look who is by each other again...
Little snack and story before playtime.
I wasn't joking when I said these two were together the entire field trip.
By the sounds of things from the teachers this is pretty normal.
One last picture before we head back to school.
What a fun experience this was to be apart of.
I am so greatful for the oppertunity Allie has to attend such a great place to go to school.

Days on the farm

This is a picture of Mike on his first run in the combine.
Pretty cool experience for him to be able to help out on the farm.
He did GREAT!
Mom and Dad working side by side.
The unloading station.
Dad making sure everything is working how it should.
No matter how busy it is around here these two will always find time to click a picture with Allie girl.
But don't forget to keep one eye on what's going on.
No it's not snowing that's corn chaff flying.
Even Great Grandma makes her way out to make sure everything is running as it should.
After all that farm work a person has a good amount of laundry to do and of course my dryer plunks out and this is what Mike discovered when he opened it up to fix.
Crazy thing!
The bonus was we didn't have to buy any parts for the repair.

Our STAR of the week.

The start to our week around here was Allie getting the oppertunity to be STAR of the week at school.  Beings she is already to the point of not liking me to take pictures at school I have to click away before we leave the house.
This is something she has been looking forward to ever since school started a month ago.
To a kid that feels like a year!
One of the perks of being Star of the week is getting the chance to bring Lilly the leap frog home.
Personally I wasn't thrilled at the idea of a stuffed animal that has been who know's where coming into the house, but what do you do.
Chilling watching some shows with Lilly.
Someone is excited to be back in swimming lessons again.
Very proud of how far along she has come from the day we started and she was afraid to get her face wet.
Don't get me wrong it's still not her favorite, but she's learning to work thru it.
